NBA shooting specialist Mark Ramljak, who has been in the game for over 30 years, stopped by our practice to help our players with their jump shots. Currently, he works with Josh Hart (New York Knicks) and Kenyon Martin Jr (Philadelphia 76ers).
Fun fact: Hart shot 30% from the three point line before the All-Star Break last season. After working with Ramljak over the All-Star Break, Hart went on to shoot 44% from three over the next two weeks. A big improvement!
Ramljak emphasized to our players the importance of not bringing the ball across their bodies, going up in one fluid motion, and extending and holding their follow throughs. These tips, while simple, are crucial in perfecting a jump shot.
